Naomi Maisel

Naomi studied Human Health and Anthropology at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia, where she developed a passion for food security and justice as well as sustainable practices. After graduating, she worked for a social enterprise connecting marginalized individuals to employment, deepening her understanding of systemic inequality. Naomi later earned her Master's in Gastronomy in Italy, focusing on the intersections of migration, foodscapes and identity. Since joining La Cocina in 2020 she has worked to strengthen partnerships and is currently formalizing La Cocina's consulting arm to expand the organization's impact nationally and globally.
